An event for news agencies, broadcasters, content platforms, and technology vendors to work together in teams to build innovative solutions that utilise the DPP Live Production Exchange (LPX) framework and to provide feedback on how we can improve it.

DPP Live Production Exchange (LPX) is a collaborative initiative led by the DPP in partnership with members Reuters, Arqiva and Warner Bros Discovery. LPX provides an open metadata and API framework for automating live production workflows.
The hackathon on Monday 4th March, 2024 provides a unique opportunity for news agencies, broadcasters, content platforms and technology vendors to explore the potential of LPX by designing innovative solutions that utilise the framework. We are also looking for constructive feedback to help us improve the draft LPX specifications for publication.
Participants in the hackathon will be working together in teams. Teams can be formed by individuals from one company or made up of representatives from different organisations. If you are interested in taking part but are not yet part of a team, we are happy to assist.

What we are looking to achieve:
To collaborate on the LPX draft schema by allowing teams develop solutions utilising the DPP LPX Recommendation.
Review and work with API implementations based on LPX developed by Arqiva and Reuters in GraphQL and ReST.
To create solutions that demonstrate how the draft schema and implementation APIs meet the use case requirements.
To identify gaps in the draft schema and in API implementations that conform to the identified use cases.
To identify additional use cases that have not been defined.
